Who we are
We are a unique advocacy and legal service for children and young people. We deliver free legal advice and representation in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Glasgow to those who would otherwise have found it very difficult or impossible to access the legal help that they require. We help Children & Young People up to the age of 18, or 21 if they have been Looked After Children.
Community Law Advice Network (Clan) is a charity and a company limited by guarantee. It is directed by an independent board of directors. Clan has appointed Alison Reid as Chief Executive to direct and control the day to day running of the charity. Alison has formed a solicitor’s firm (Clan Childlaw Ltd.) along with Julia Donnelly. Alison is the firm’s Principal Solicitor and Julia is Head of Representation. The firm provides legal services exclusively to Clan.
