Our specialist training ensures you have a good working knowledge of Scottish Child Law in action. Essential understanding that helps you to achieve positive outcomes for your clients whether you are a lawyer or professional working with children and young people or their families.
Why Learn with us?
You will benefit from our expertise. Our contribution to the Scottish Government's development of the law and policy in relation to children and young people, combined with our direct involvement in representing children and young people caught up within the legal system and our specialist legal knowledge places us in a unique position to provide you with practical, informed, relevant training on the current application of the law.
What You Can Expect By Attending
Our training programme consists of 4 half day sessions (various dates available) which together, not only provide you with accurate up to date information and understanding but uniquely encourage you to participate in practice discussions, group discussions and consider real life case scenarios. We challenge you to reflect on practice and identify any practice issues and the need for any follow-on support.
Useful materials are provided for you to take away, which can include case studies, course reminders, process charts and sources of additional information if required. A Certificate of Attendance is provided on completion of our courses. We are also registered with the Law Society of Scotland to provide authorised TCPD to trainee solicitors.
We encourage you to network with your fellow attendees and make sure there is plenty of complimentary tea and coffee.
