As lawyers for children and young people, we see first hand situations where broader change to a law, policy or its implementation would help improve outcomes for children and young people.
We contribute to policy development in relation to the realisation of children and young people’s rights across Scotland.
We base our policy work on the evidence gathered from our direct legal representation of children and young people. We use our legal knowledge, skills and expertise to advance policy and its implementation.
We take a human rights-based approach and embed our calls for change in the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the European Convention on Human Rights.
We see strategic litigation as a tool with the potential to further realise the rights of children and young people and thereby improve their lives.
