Mary-Claire joined Clan as a Partner in April 2020. She has a particular interest in access to justice and removing barriers to children and young people which may make it difficult for them to get legal advice. She studied law at the University of Edinburgh and University of Utrecht before qualifying as a solicitor. She has worked in a number of areas of civil litigation. Before joining Clan she worked as a solicitor at Shelter and latterly the Civil Legal Assistance Office where she focused on housing and social welfare law. Mary-Claire sits as a legal chair in the First-tier Tribunal (Housing and Property) Chamber.
