At Clan Childlaw we’ve made big adjustments to the service to allow our team to work remotely to continue to give legal help to children and young people and useful information and practical guidance on the law and children’s rights to the family members, carers and key workers that support them.
During and after the COVID-19 pandemic our dedicated team will continue to offer our services to children and young people, just adapted to follow government and NHS advice.
WE ARE OPEN FOR ENQUIRIES
We know that during this period children and young people will have questions about their rights and about how the law affects them.
We know during and after the pandemic children and young people, family members and carers and key workers who support children and young people will have all sorts of new and challenging questions about children’s rights and the law affecting children and young people in Scotland – probably questions we will never have been asked before.
Clan Childlaw can help. We are here to listen, to explain things, answer your questions and help you figure things out. Where we can’t help we will do all we can to direct children and young people to other services.
We want children and young people (and the adults that support them) to call us on 0808 129 0522 about any question you have – you don’t have to know you need a lawyer to call us. No problem is not important to us, and all questions are welcome!
It’s really important that we hear what is going on for children and young people during this time, and find out what questions they need answers to and what problems they will need our help with so we can figure out some answers, work on solutions and get the information children and young people need out there for them to use. Please fill out our Survey to let us know.
Our lawyers are providing support, guidance and information by phone and online only just now. Children and young people can speak one to one and confidentially to a lawyer who will listen, we will give them as long as they need and will check they are clear on the guidance. We are available for any children and young people to follow up with us if they need to.
We are continuing to represent children and young people at (now virtual) Children’s Hearings and in other legal processes affecting them. |
Children and young people, family members, carers, professionals, can contact our free phone line, 0808 129 0522, text 075 275 66682, email info@clanchildlaw.org or use Facebook Messenger.
Children and young people we are already working with can continue to contact their lawyer directly by phone, text and email details they have already been provided with.
Please note that due to travel restrictions related to Covid-19, Clan Childlaw are no longer picking up post at either our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices.
As we are still open, but working from home, please send information related to legal cases to the solicitor you have been working with.
Invoices and other information should be sent to info@clanchildlaw.org.
