The results of a research project examining the rights of children to participate in family law cases led by Prof. Kay Tisdall and Dr Fiona Morrison in which Clan Childlaw participated have been published.
The Scottish Government-funded project was a collaboration between Dr Fiona Morrison of the University of Stirling’s Centre for Child Wellbeing and Protection, Prof. Kay Tisdall of the University of Edinburgh’s Centre for Research on Families and Relationships, Judith Warburton of the University of Stirling’s Centre for Child Wellbeing and Protection and Alison Reid and Fiona Jones of Clan Childlaw.
The research coincided with the review of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 – the Children (Scotland) Bill which seeks to reform the 1995 Act is currently before the Scottish Parliament and the research has contributed to the debate on the Bill.
