What data does it collect?

Clan Childlaw collects the following data:

  • Email address
  • Organisation (if applicable)
  • Phone number (if applicable)
  • Address (if applicable)
  • Information on the services you wish to receive from Clan Childlaw (if applicable)

How does it collect your data?

Clan Childlaw collects your data if you have attended an event hosted by Clan Childlaw and provided the organisation with explicit permission that it can contact you regarding future events and updates from Clan Childlaw.

If you have made a donation, your data will be collected in order to process that donation. 

How will it use your data?

Clan Childlaw collects your data so that it can send you emails regarding future events or updates relating to our work. You can ask us to remove your contact details from our database by contacting us on [email protected] to this effect.

If the data was taken as you have attended one of our training sessions, you will be sent an evaluation form three months after to help us improve our services.

If you have made a donation, your data will be used to process that donation and claim Gift Aid where appropriate. Your communication preferences will be respected at all times. If you wish to change these at any time, please email [email protected] 

Clan Childlaw will not share your data with any other company or organisation.

How will it store your data?

Clan Childlaw securely stores your data on an online document management and storage system which is only accessible to Clan Childlaw employees and is password protected.

Our company will keep your contact details for as long as it is reasonable to do so.  If you contact us via [email protected] to remove your contact details from our database, we will immediately delete your contact details permanently from our storage system.

What are your data protection rights?

Clan Childlaw wants to make sure that you are fully aware of all your data protection rights.

Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access: You have the right to request for copies of your personal data.

The right to rectification: You have the right to request that Clan Childlaw corrects any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request that Clan Childlaw to complete information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure: You have the right to request that Clan Childlaw erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing: You have the right to object to Clan Childlaw’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability: You have the right to request that Clan Childlaw transfer the data that it has collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

 The Child Law Network is a free online newsletter service created by the Clan Childlaw for anyone who has an interest in child law and this section will explain how we use the personal collect we collect when you subscribe to the newsletter.

Clan Childlaw collects this data when you sign-up to receive emails from the Child Law Network by either completing the online sign-up form or asking to be added to our mailing list by emailing [email protected].

Clan Childlaw collects your data so that it can send you email newsletters regarding legal developments, news, training and events. You can opt out of receiving these emails at any time by using the link at the bottom of emails to unsubscribe or by emailing [email protected] to this effect.

We will not share your details with any other organisation.
